She also was a contestant as the season's third runner up in The Next Iron Chef, and she has served as an Iron Chef judge since. Also, she participated with Food Network's Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast episode and lost the contest. In the fourth season of The Next Iron Chef, she was hired as a sous chef for Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian. She became host of The Food Network's The Cooking Loft With Alex Guarnaschelli in 2008.
